the aftermath

it's exactly 1 week after the general election, & the aftermath had been variously called:

1) tsunami

2) whitewash

3) brave new world

but as a star wars fan, i'd like to call it A New Hope:

of course, as current events unfold, you can expect a backlash from the ruling party at the next general election, which appropriately should be labelled, in starwars-speak, as

may the force be with you.

hi doc,

in the period interim, can we expected an animated "Clone Wars"?

that might well be.

i forgot to add that during the counting of votes, The Phantom Menace was playing.

*sits rivetted* to watch the saga continue to unfold! Whatever that happened to our neighbour, well could also happen down here or anywhere else.

Most interesting time ahead. Skillful diplomacy tact is of the essence here.

las M,

the political scene in s'pore has been quite tame since jeya was bankrupted & chee has been reduced to just a street protester.

besides, who dare goes against the Trinity of Father, Son & Holy Goh???

iml,

this could be the beginning of the end of race-based political parties. we all hope it's not just a flash in the pan.
