growing old?

i like routine - because i generally dislike surprises. maybe i'm a control freak - i need to know what to expect & to take hold of the situation. that's why it's the same routine every lunar new year.

Eve : reunion dinner with parents, siblings & their families.

1st day : receive relatives in the morning & then visit friends in the afternoon.

2nd day : spend a day out with the family. last year it was at Berjaya Time Square - the kids just love the theme park. this year it was at the Animal Safari at A'Famosa. they've got quite a good program going.

besides the bird show...

and animal show..

the other top attractions are the safari ride around the zoo..

and the main cowboy show...

yes, it was a commendable local effort to entertain the masses & certainly worth a day out. the boy was riding high .....

on an elephant, that is....

& messing with the natives.

and then, suddenly i felt that the new year celebrations are over for me. is it that we are all getting on & these celebrations do not matter much anymore?

or, am i just missing out on something (big?) in this life??

If you don't see the something big in front of you, you will always miss out on it.

I am a "routine" person also. So that makes me a control freak??? No, routine is good. It helps the kids know what to expect next.

Looks like a fun place for the kids!

SAHM,

i suppose the one extreme of a "routine" person spectrum is a control freak.

yes, A'Famosa is definitely worth a day out with the family - only if it doesn't rain.

I thought I commented, what happened?

Am a routine person as well...early to bed, early to rise type!

just me,

this is your only comment i have received.

hmm..looks like having a routine is neither bad nor uncommon.

Heard that our body does its repair work between 11pm and 1am...hopefully this means my body is wonderfully repaired?

Happy Valentine's day to you and wife!

so, you went there! It's really worth it. I enjoyed that thoroughly last December. One more bonus point related to your profession - there is actually a "clinic" providing some basic medical care. Chris got treated there for food poisoning and it was FOC! Even when this honest mum said he had not taken food from the resort yet!

just me,

that's probably not true. the repair goes on all the time, maybe more during sleep.

incidentally, growth (as in increase in height) takes place during sleep as well as exercise, when growth hormone are secreted into the bloodstream.

just me,

hope you had a nice valentine's day. me? i just got back from hosp & i need the repair now.

yan,

it was definitely worth a trip. the clinic must be somewhere near the hotel because i don't recall seeing one at the theme parks.
