“ Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”” (Matthew 20: 17-19)

Praise the Lord!
the three-fold amens
What's the immersion for? The significance?
I'm not a Christian so I'm not really sure about the symbolic meaning of the immersion. But I have a feeling it's about cleansing the soul? And to start anew?
(:
Jems,
PTL!
Alex,
Amen.
Kyels,
Immersion signifies burying the old self & living a new life as new-born Christian.
We follow this example set by Jesus before He began His ministry. Some other churches, eg. Catholics, practise baptism by sprinkling of holy water.
it doesnt really matter immersion or sprinkling in my opinion. it is the significance of the exercise which is the priority rather than the norms
Beng,
each church has its own practice, although some choose to emulate what the Lord did.
praise Lord for the new changing lives....
Nemo,
Amen.
