why is there bullying in school?
i've alway thought that kids will be kids & that bullying is a phase they go through while growing up. a black eye is like having a vaccination - you get it & you move on. but it didn't occur to me to figure out WHY the need to exert violence to get what you want.
until i read today's star. (read here)
claiming to have been falsely accused of embezzlement, this brainless moron guy is challenging the CM of penang to a fist-fight to settle the issue - in the holy month, at that! seriously, how would a brawl resolve the issue?
and because kids eagerly imitate their parents' behaviour, good AND bad, this is my theory of the origins of bullying in school.

It's either he's an ' uneducated moron 'or just seeking for attention for all the wrong reasons.hhhmmmm.........

presumably, it's a result of evolution of human behaviour - if we can't get what we want with gentle persuasion/cajoling or lies & deception, using force would be the next step.
unfortunately, the wheels of violence have been set in motion; what we as parents can do is to set the example for our kids.

Lack of respect for other people. Some parents fail to teach proper values to their children.

by the same token, some kids, being influenced by external elements, refused to be taught proper values.
