peer pressure
it's that time of the year where there'll be a string of kiddie birthday parties, as a few of them were borned in the months of april & may. yesterday's was the 1st.
A, the birthday girl told my son this: if you don't bring 2 presents, i don't friend you!
she made this demand because her other best friend E would be bringing 2, but what A didn't realise was that E will be going with a sibling, hence 2 presents. naturally, the boy innocently asked the wife for 2 presents too, but he accepted the explanation why he'll only need bring 1.
kids sure experience peer pressure at a tender age!!
anyway, the bunch of them had a great time:
musical chairs...except for a boy who's not into activities;
getting wet after the water balloons have been thrown.

wah! didnt realise they now demand presents. Next they will be telling you what to buy them!
The next peer pressure that you will experience is your child wanting a party for his birthday too!! With all his friends, the magician, the bouncy castle, etc. Good luck!
It happens. Peer pressure; everywhere. When it comes to tertiary education it's even worst. Haha! When I was younger there was no such thing as birthday parties ... Haha!
:P
Wow! nowadays kids getting more materialistic :-p
Anyway, i still remembered my nice and enjoyable birthday party that my mom and dad thrown for me decades ago. LoL :-p
SAHM,
er...the boy already mentioned he'd like a party like last year's - not a demand, just a gentle reminder, so to speak.
(but he doesn't know about clowns & magic shows yet!!)
kyels,
true. i never had a birthday party myself till i was in 6th form, but even then, that was more of a farewell to the school-mates.
TZ,
kids are getting more materialistic, huh? guess who made them that way??!!
yes, those were the good old days when a birthday party just entailed getting a few friends together for some games & home-cooked food.
Every child who has been to a birthday party would want to have one of it's own. It's the ultimate joy to see the mountain of presents!!!
Iml,
that's just irony of it - they love to see so many presents but by the next day, many will be stacked neatly in the storeroom, next the the ones left-over from the previous year.
still, the look on their faces remain priceless!
