in a way, i'm envious of him - he has something i never had - a group of friends that he has known from birth, are classmates in primary school & growing up in sunday school.....
it's must be reassuring to him that he is much loved. even the sister called him to wish him...
being such a stickler for tradition, he insisted on opening his presents on his actual birthday itself.
(or, will he develop OCD later in life, i wonder?)

hi doc, Happy Birthday to your son.. seems to be enjoying himself on his birthday..
Happy birthday to your little boy!
OCD = obsessive compulsive disorder?
Some friends come and go in life.
Claire,
thanks. he looks forward to his birthday very much. unfortunately, it will usually clash with the mid-term exams, so he didn't have it on the actual day itself.
LX,
thanks!
Mei Teng,
yes, & he's showing some peculiar habits, eg. he doesn't like the skin of roast/fried chicken, when he's having a burger he must eat the bun 1st before the meat pattie.
I think disliking chicken skin isn't OCD but health conscious :)
Mei Teng,
he's too young to know health consciouness!!
one other thing, you know those peel fresh juices with aloe vera bits? he doesn't like it because of the aloe vera bits!
If he doesn't eat the bun first, does he get an anxiety attack?
I think he's fine.
I've heard it said before that anaes are ALL OCD in some way or another so you can blame your son's OCD on yourself. =P
I miss having birthday parties. But then again...
Anastasia,
he HAS to eat the bun 1st but i'm NOT about to find out otherwise.
i'd like to go further to state that everyone has OCD in one form or other & in various severity.
