birthday boy
yesterday was the boy's birthday. as i was on-call the whole weekend, we celebrated it on a modest scale at sunday school.
he didn't ask for much as he had his share of presents from the usual suspects. however, what he requested of me was a trip to....
for his favourite...
for the dear boy, he only wanted a doublecheese burger meal. nothing else will do.
ahh...sometimes it's so easy to please kids...

Happy Birthday to Doc's boy! :)
Btw, Doc.. I'm easy to please too. Can I please have a McD's ice-cream for my birthday? ;)
Happy birthday to the easy-to-please boy!
jems,
thanks.
call me when you're in town - you deserve more than an ice-cream.
yan,
thanks!
Happy Birthday to your Boy!

Belated birthday greetings to your boy!
Doc,were you that easy to please when you were his age?
kyels,
thks.
just me,
thks.
those day we didn't have much & i didn't ask for much. which means, i also never had a birthday party.
i recalled the most expensive items i asked for were a pair of adidas sports shoes(SGD34) & a citizen watch (SGD98) during my late teens - those days, the SGD was still on par with RM.
My family celebrated my birthday ( first one for me !) when I was 21.
just me,
at 21, i organised my own.
doc,my family wanted to celebrate my entry into adulthood?
Maybe I should have put it this way...my family threw me a birthday party...sounds better?
just me,
ok, i got your point now.
Belated Happy Birthday to your son. Children are not only easy to please, they are also forgiving, a trait adults would do well to emulate.
Doublecheese burger is my burger too. Ah.. that makes me hungry.
happysurfer,
thks for your kind greeting.
children can be wonderful teachers.
Doc, not sure how far it's true. Was told that petrol price will go up after midnight tonight.
HS,
unlikely, bcos the govt reassured no petrol price increase till sept.
but then, they also promised action on corruption.
not a very demanding boy you have... but cheeseburger aint a good thing either...
zewt,
thks for your comments.
everything in moderation should be fine - he gets his favourite burger only once a month, & even then, only when he's on good behaviour!
hahaha... define good behaviour? some parents have got very 'loose' definition for that.
zewt,
yes, i agree good behaviour is relative, but i strongly believe that if you spare the rod, you spoil the child.
