Dec 20
out of the blue, the pastor asked me last week if i would like to give a message to the church on a sunday. i knew a day like this would arrive but it was just too sudden. he was going on leave with his family & preferred someone from within the church to speak. i felt like Moses when he was tasked to speak to the Israelites:
Moses said to the LORD, "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue." ex 4:10
like Moses, i had a hundred excuses at the tip of my tongue but lest His anger burned against me, i deliberated on His reassurance:
"Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." v 12
at one fell swoop, He also inspired a message - the crossing of the red sea.

divine calling... no way to go around it... haha!
Pray...for guidance from the Holy Spirit. The apostles spoke in tongues on Pentecost and everyone of all different races understood them...
I am sure you can speak well that day without any problem. He is up there helping you.
Let the Holy Spirit leads u.. God uses all types of people for His works.. u r one of them.. :)
So will your speech be as dramatic and impactful as the parting of the Red Sea?
Looks like the seed sowed has come to its fruition, something it is really not the eloquency that counts, it is about the speaking out what is your heart and mind that counts.
I remember once i was tasked to take the lead in sharing in the cell group, i didnt prepare for it, i just spoke what i strongly felt abt, at that time, i spoke about how we Christian were so self-centred and blah blah blah, in the end the members agree with me, and we slowly opened up.
go forth,,,,,,,,,
Zewt,
yes, i'm afraid there's no running away from it, & i don't want to be in a fish's stomach to find that out!!
STP,
thanks.
there can be no effective message without the Spirit's guidance.
