angels & demons
bought the book last year at a warehouse sale & it's been collecting dust on the shelf since. now that the movie has just been released, in Rome no less, i literally spent the last few days glued to the book.
it has a mind-blowing plot with a vile twist, & i'm surprised there wasn't more opposition to the book/movie from the catholic church.
even after reading the book, i think i'll need to see the movie TWICE to fully grasp the essence of plot.
like i said, mind-blowing!

Looking forward to catching the movie.
I love how the book cover looks the same upside down! I have also read the book, but forgot what it's about.
I wonder if this time there will be another big hoo-hah like the DaVinci Code
Iml,
me, too!
Adino,
actually i got that pix from the website, although i have not seen that version of the book at any bookstore - maybe it's a limited edition.
there was some muted hoo-hah, eg. preventing filming after approval had been granted, attempt at sabotaging the premier in Rome, which was held near one of the featured churches.
Hi Doc, hmmm, I must check this one out.
Haven't been to movies since 'Crouching Tiger', ha ha.
You keep well Doc, best regards, Lee.
Uncle Lee,
that movie played ages ago!!
if you've never been to Rome, i read that A & D is practically an unofficial guide to the Vatican.
cheers!
the movie just primer in Sibu two days ago. Wanted to watch this for a long time.Like the first Da Vinci Code. Hope to enjoy this one as well.
Superman,
going by the trailer, the movie looks packed with action. will go watch it nearer the end of its run to avoid the crowd.
I hope this movie is better than DVC. It probably won't do justice to the book but I hope it won't insult it either.
As a Catholic, I cannot help but comment.
The book is a work of fiction.
Dan Brown may claim to have done extensive research but he has a LOT of factual errors in the book, both theological and physical.
As for the book being an "unofficial guide to the vatican" it is false because there are many errors.
forgive me for spamming your comment box doc but if I may include a link for those who want to read about the errors in A&D.

(I dlded it, no viruses, no worries)
As for the book as a work of fiction however, it was pretty cool...
Anastasia,
i see you read the other comments as well. maybe bcos of the many errors, it was dubbed "unofficial guide"?
spamming? nah....you're just being elaborate ;)
a few of my colleagues saw the movie last week & they were suitably impressed. it's rated 18PL so my daughter says she'll put on make-up & wear heels, which is not going to happen.
