...& the main (& only course) happens to be freshly-baked shepherd's pie...
which didn't last very long....(burp!)
i don't often blog about my wife but today, she deserves praise...

your husband probably does, maybe not in so many words or biblical verses. guys are generally not very expressive, except maybe lawyers(??)
