school rocks!

i'm glad & the wife's relief is palpable.

after a week, the boy is actually looking forward to school & day-care. school dismisses at 1.45pm & the wife sends him to his previous kindergarten where he has a bath, then lunch & gets guidance on homework, esp Chinese.

when he gets home at 5.30pm, he's still none the worse for it - plays a bit & watches TV before dinner, & then goes to bed at 9pm. much like any other day.

i hope he sustains his enthusiasm because this school thing is long haul.

KL,

the HM was intuitive - he knew you were A-class material. ;)

i did this youtube thing by trial & error, so here goes - copy the embed code of the chosen video onto the "video title" space of the "add video" icon of your blog post. the video may not appear on preview but will on the actual post.

look forward to your videos!

I can't really recall my first day of school but I knew I was enjoying myself though - the whole haul.

Kyels,

that's how school should always be - a stage for kids to be themselves & to display their in-born talents.

Chinese education? I am not chinese educated because my dad thinks life is miserable in a chinese school. Hahaha. But when it was my youngest sister's turn (8 yrs younger), we conveniently sent her to a chinese primary school simply because that was the only school with morning session for pri 1 and 2. Lame reasons but now I see it is worth all the 'hard work' when I see my sis being able to understand chinese.

Lynnx,

isn't it a coincidence that my son is 8 years younger than his sister? & i can see he has the right attitude to learn Mandarin.

soon, he'll be teaching me new words!
