Your son is cute.

How have you been Doc? It's been a while. I have been really busy myself. Hope all's well there.

He still wants to spend more time with grandson and family. This is what keeps him going strong!

for some inexplicable reason, considering we live apart from my parents before this year, my son has an uncanny attachment to my father.

i'd like to think that the boy is a chip off the old block!

Very very touching moments. I am moved to tears. You have captured them for keep, and for many more years to come.

Allow me to tell a story here - I am probably emotional today, but it's all within us at times!

Chris' grandpa was in Sarawak General Hospital after a heart attack. That was Kuching (and we are in Sibu which is half an hour flight). He was recovering. I was supposed to bring Chris during one of my working trips to visit him in the hospital. The arrangement was Chris would stay in the hospital while I go to work and back to hospital to take care of dad in law over the night allowing sister-in-law some rest. But, I decided that since grandpa would be coming back home soon and that Chris had a tuition that day, Chris did not need to make the trip.

That morning, as I reached the hospital from airport, I could see the disappointment in dad in law's face that Chris did not come. He even had a pack of "dried noodles" that Chris loved ready to share with Chris.

Dad in law never made it to home. He suffered another heart attack shortly and went back to the Lord.

It took Chris more than a year to get over it! Chris could have done the same thing to his beloved grandpa!

Rach gave grandpa a big hug just before grandpa just a day before grandpa had a heart attack. Grandpa remembered and cherished that hug throughout his stay in hospital!

So, seize the moments!

I hope I will not live too long...and will call it a day, just like that! I cannot imagine having to depend on people to take care of me...but it's all in God's hands, and I can only pray that He will be merciful.

its nice feeling when the load is off your shoulder & children esp at your son's age, makes you forget pain & brings unexplained joy & satisfaction.

wish your dad a better recovery

we all wish we could go quickly & peacefully but sometimes God has other plans for us.

may we all remain faithful till the end.

Just me,

my father has 3 grandchildren & my son maintains the closest relationship. perhaps it because the boy is basically a caring person.

we are grateful to God because the boy has brought so much joy to our lives.

may you remain faithful as He guides you through the valley.
