child's innocence

we were enjoying ourselves, peeling off & eating the last peanuts left over from my father's wake. i jokingly told my son to thank gong-gong for the peanuts.

obediently, he remarked:

"thanks, gong-gong, for the peanuts. i can't wait for the next funeral!!"

Claire,

he's 7. we all laughed at his remark & reassure him that we can get some more from the shop.

Ilene,

kids can be witty at times.

ms45,

it's just that we've been eating a lot of left-over peanuts the past few days, & that's when we realised we ALL enjoy peanuts!!

hi, kids r real innocent n naive..

doc said...

Hi Wenn,

how often had we wished to have retained that innocence?

the kid was just being himself.. innocent which is actually a good thing to retain that innocence for as long as possible. nothing to get superstitious about i am sure

doc said...

Beng,

nah...we're not superstitious; in fact, we all had a good laugh over it.
