just seen the late news. i thought i heard the PM had, amidst applause, announced the immediate abolishment of import tax for cars.
actually, he was at a golf event & he meant GOLF BUGGIES. the reason he gave was that this would lead to improvement of quality of services at golf courses.
i'm sure that brought relief to the thousands of golfers & their respective golf clubs.
or, could he have done better by actually abolishing import taxes for cars which would certainly bring cheers to millions of motorists? then perhaps the retailing of petrol without subsidy would be more readily acceptable?
i don't know. i'm not the finance minister. but i have a dream that a fair price for a honda civic 1.8 should be around rm70k. heh heh!

good morning doc, for a moment i tot PM had really took away the import tax.. i just booked a local car, i dont mind forgoing my 100rm booking fee if that was true! hahaha..
I wish they would abolish import tax on cars so people can buy better quality motor vehicles instead of having to support the local market.

and why are we paying 5% GST for hospitalisation? tax the sickly..
maybe we should be his Facebook buddy then GOlf Bug him till he wakes up & remembers what he actually meant was cut import duties for our dream cars !

5% GST goes to the GOVT, which the hosp collects on the latter's behalf.
that constitutes harassment & i'm certain we are all above that. our day will come eventually because there's a greater justice than what we have here on earth.
not harrassment doc, coz he wants more 'buddies' to tell/share, which is why his golf buddies got what they wanted !
